Protect Our Children’s Schools, Not Corporate Greed!

Join parents and students from across the state at “First Things First 2012”, a speak out and demonstration to demand:
- An opportunity to learn to ensure college and career readiness for ALL students
- Investment in quality early childhood education
- Affordable and quality public colleges and universities
Our children have lost quality programs and teachers, and college tuition has increased while corporations receive billions of dollars in tax loopholes! The recent tax reform was a milestone but there is more that can be done to make sure our schools are fully and fairly funded. Demand that the Governor and the Legislature close corporate tax loopholes in order to generate revenue to restore the state’s cuts to education.
The Governor and Legislature need to hear loud and clear from us.
Just a week before the Governor is set to release his budget, our discussion will include:
- Full and fair funding for our schools
- Educational best practices to prepare students for college and careers
- Effective strategies to MAKE OUR VOICES HEARD this legislative session
